Established in April 2016, IMDID Sierra Leone was instituted by Ibrahim Sankoh, a young man with interest in international diplomacy and democratic leadership. Born in November 20th, Ibrahim is a tolerant individual with passion to increase equal rights for all and social inclusion for the disable. He holds Diploma In Human Resource Development and has studied in other fields of academia which has increased his capacity to develop others.
He’s currently the Executive Director of the Sierra Leone Model United Nations (SIMUN) which is affiliated to IMDID. He joined our organization as a volunteer and knowing much of our activities, Ibrahim decided to start branch of IMDID in Sierra Leone to urge more youth in Freetown and other societies to volunteer for community development. His willingness to volunteer has led to his traveling to other countries including Ghana.
IMDID Sierra Leone and it affiliate SIMUN has organised series of youth development and capacity building forums in Freetown. Including the Success Seminars and the International Youth Day 2017 in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
